I designed these blankets to represent a hug, inspired by the needs of Hurricane Sandy. This ultra soft and oh-so cozy blanket forms a heart upon your baby's chest once swaddled, giving a warm hug and becoming a modern heirloom for your dear little ones.

These blankets bring children warmth while also raising funding for rebuilding communities that are still affected by Hurricane Sandy. 10% of proceeds are donated to Rebuilding Together, a national group who thoughtfully rebuilds communities in need of disaster relief.

The blankets are knit with 100% Egyptian cotton, of beautiful colors made by a high quality mill, Filmar, founded in 1951 in Italy. They are the producers of beautiful colored yarn of the highest quality and meet European for fair trade, wage, and environmental regulations. The dyes for the yarns are safe for children and are OEKO-TEX® | OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

These wonderful, heirloom quality lightweight blankets are made in Detroit by Scott McFarland Knitwear on a Stoll knitting machine. These are the knitting machines that are most commonly known for being used by Nike & Adidas to knit sneakers. This knitting technique requires yarn with long fibers so that it won't break during production. The long fibers required also make for a high quality blanket, with plenty of gusto for long-life wear.
