In 2016, I founded the GOOD Shop - I was inspired by the thought of a store that sold only ‘do good’ type products and that would be a collective of local small businesses. Over the years, the collective shop has grown and changed locations. We got our start on OC Haley in a second floor space where the landlord wouldn’t let us hang a shingle haha. It was where I shared a studio w/ my dear friend Justin Shiels. We were both interested in experimenting with a retail space and we started with what we had. We then moved to Mid City subletting a nook from Church Alley coffee & then uptown to a shared, teeny tiny retail space next to Whole Foods.

In its current form, we are lucky to have a great location right off of Magazine Street and have six businesses in the collaboration as well as a couple of artist studios in the back of the building. Different businesses ‘do good’ in different ways: using eco friendly materials, donating a portion of profits, buy one give one, etc.

Come on by and say hello! 1114 Josephine Street - you can also take a virtual ‘walk’ through our store at the shop website.
